So I think it's fair enough to say that I've been neglecting my duties on KAS and I will not deny it; it's a very irresponsible thing to do, leaving a lot of people hanging.

Now I will shed some light on KAS' current situation:

01. I am moving. Not just to a new town or house, to a new country. I know this is not information for complete strangers that don't even know me need to have but I just feel the need to inform you all before anyone starts to judge me on my complete absence. This whole moving thing has taken a toll on me and I'm still trying to take it all in. I am moving in a month.

02. Let's face it, fanfiction, fangraphics and anything else of the sort is slowly becoming devalued recently. I don't think anyone takes it as seriously as I used to. This slow sinking of fan'creation' has also taken a toll on KAS. No requests, no active-ness.

03. I am ashamed to say (not really), that I have moved on from the Kpop fandom. I know a lot of you would go 'WHOTHAFOCK?!" on me but it's true. I find that it has eaten up a lot of my life and I'm actually glad to have moved on.

04. We have two more requests on pending and these will be the last we will be taking in. We will accept one more just before January 3rd and after that, we will be closing.

A few updates over the extremely long MIA I've been in:

One shots are SUPER slow. I'm really sorry but I haven't been so inspired recently. I continue to update your stories thrice a week or so, but they're either too slow or seriously getting boring.

Graphics are getting on pretty okay. One of our graphic designers 'Cha Min Ji' had an accident. Not physically, but to her External Hard Drive. Apparently all the contents have been erased due to a few...idek. No more pictures, textures and all that. So she will be out for a while and I'll be handling ALL graphics by myself. So please be patient.

The layout has also been changed. Can you sense my love for the 2NE1 comeback? Well, it's very much evident. I don't get why people have to get so technical about it though. What with everyone saying that CL and Minzy aren't awesome rappers and original American people are better. I'm not saying they aren't but I happen to like 2NE1's sound, so why can't they just accept in that way? I love their talents and I love their music. Full stop.

Okay, not a good thing to update with a rant. But anyway, I'm working on four more graphics on pending and they'll be up no later than the end of this week.

Keep the requests coming in. One-shots will be updated once I get one finished.

Announcements: IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ.

I'm not here for an update as promised before. Of course, how disappointing yet again...

But I am here for a few things we've changed around in KAS:

Firstly:
it's jihae*! has brought something to my attention.

In case a site you have requested from undergoes sudden hiatus, what exactly can you do?

She's asked me if she can request from KAS but of course, stated in ALL rules on ALL graphic request sites is the number one rule;

'Do not request from us if you have done so in another site'.

Of course many different variations of the rule has come up, but they all literally mean the same thing.

Now my answer to this would be to take it up with the web mistress on the site that had undergone hiatus. They may not be able to reply but I think it's the most responsible solution. Of course, if they gave you permission to; like I did in our previous hiatus, to request on other sites while they were off, then I don't think there would be a problem.

I was wondering if some sort of pact or oath should be taken on with all request sites' web mistresses that if certain issues like these come up, there could be an exception.

Again, I'm not really sure what to do but to ask the web mistress herself. I seriously wouldn't mind making a poster, since I'm off. And I certainly wouldn't blacklist you But I wouldn't want to have you blacklisted on THEIR site either.

Anyway, @it's jihae*!: try to get in contact with the web mistress first and if you don't get a reply, I don't mind you requesting from us. I will NOT blacklist you (I have yet to create one ;) and you are always welcome here, you know that ^ ^

And because of this predicament, I've decided to add this into our rules.

You may request from another site if KAS is under hiatus, only if an announcement has been issued that you may do so.

I hope that's understandable to everyone.

Secondly:

I am introducing something called a 'request code'. Because winglin has been a headache to deal with, I've decided to post all future one-shots and graphics on the site. Previous one-shots WILL be archived but will not undergo this new adaptation.

What is a request code?
A request code is a series of five to six numbers that only the requester knows of.

Why do we need one?
By using this code, you will be notified that your request has been received and is already under construction. When your request is done, we will post your one-shot and/or graphics under the title and request code.

How do I get the code?
Once we have received your request and have started working on it, we will immediately send you a code.

So, it's nothing big, not like a password or anything (although having passwords for each request would be nice, I don't know how to do that =.=) it's just so you can be assured that your request is actually being handled and not just dumped into our 'Trash' folder.

If you have requested and within two to three days, have not yet received your request code, then it simply means we did not receive it, your request had some issues or you did not obligate to the rules set out by us.

I hope this is not any trouble. If it doesn't work, we'll simply stop using it :)

I'm feeling a bit useless today. Not in the emotional sort of way, but ever since the beginning of the Summer vacation, I've had nothing to do but lounge about the house all day trying to get over the fact that I've got no transport to visit my friends.

Well, enough from me, I've come to bear with some bad news.

One of our affiliates has finally dawned on closing down their site: 2PMjjang

It's not like I've never thought of it, I've NEVER stopped thinking about closing down KAS. But because of my love for writing and the fact that this group has been online for a long time, I can't seem to get myself to do it.

I was saddened by it actually, learning that someone will be closing down due to a hectic schedule. But I wish them good luck in whatever they're going through and hope that one day, they'll be back and running better than ever!

So, drop my 2PMjjang and leave a message for them!

Revamp Successful

Hello cyberspace wanderers!

KAS has finally lifted the curse of the Hiatus and is fully functional yet again! Although, we are still waiting for a few replies from concerned staff, we are proud to reopen the site with a new layout, new application forms and more affiliates! Though I will not be able to mention them all, just be sure to look over our Affiliates page and go through them.

I'd also like to apologize to anyone who's requests were not fulfilled over the two months of our hiatus. If you are still waiting for it, chances are it has gone into our 'Incomplete folder' and will not be taken anymore, unless you request again.

The layout is not mine I assure you and I would like to thank illusion-x over at blogskins; where all my layouts come from. I really liked the previous layout but I was really uncomfortable with all of the clicking involved in simply applying or picking up a request. So I hope this is more convenient.

Thanks to anyone who's dropped by so far and I fully intend to celebrate our anniversary this year because I have graduated and am not heading off to college till January of next year. So you can say; Vacation of six months on me! Oh my heavens! How bored I'll be. I hope we'll get enough requests to keep me busy ;)

We're also still in need of Graphic Designers and Writers so please apply if you're at all interested and you have a lot of time on your hands :)

Revamp still in progress..

KAS is still under some renovations at the moment. Although, we are currently taking requests again~ YES! I've come to the conclusion that I have no reason (currently) to close down KAS. I guess it was just the examination stress picking up.

As you can see, I've already changed the layout, but it's not permanent. Although I find it abnormally PRETTY and super simple, I discovered that every time you click a link, it reloads the page and you need to click on 'Entries' again just to see where the link opened to. So I'm looking for a layout that doesn't require so much clicking to be done.

I'm thinking of returning to the layout back last year where it was black and gray and simple. But then, I'd hate to repeat stuff.

So, I suppose this announcement is simply to say that KAS is back in business and although I'm not so pleased with the layout. I'll do some more hunting down and get a non-navigational one.

I've fixed most of the poster links and I do hope everything gets back to normal in winglin or we're seriously going to end up closing down.

Thanks for your continuous support guys! and to *it'sjihae: YES! I'm so happy to finally be free and back to writing again!

Revamp in progress..

If anyone has visited recently (which I highly doubt), you'd notice that KAS has been having a few linking issues here and there.

This has resulted into my deciding to revamp the site.
Not just that but I've also come to notice that winglin has either completely gone down or just under maintenance. Either way, I plan on deciding whether to keep KAS or not.

I know I've said this one too many times but every group has to know when to bow out gracefully.

Anyway, I'm probably just in a muddle right now because of the examination stress.
But I will be thinking about this thoroughly.

KAS is officially undergoing renovation and will reopen exactly a week from today: 14th June 2010

Please stay tuned for our revamp and my final decision.

New layout

Just wanted to change the feel to the site.

The previous one made me feel really emotional. I guess because that's what I felt when I made it that way a few months back.

I tried to apply a more sophisticated feel to the site (or so I tried).
It'll probably keep changing until I get it right the way I want it.

OFFICIAL HIATUS

Okay, so no shocker there.

We're going on an official hiatus now. Requests are no longer taken, aside from those sent in before February, I'm sorry but we will no longer be taking in requests until after June.

My exams are proving to take a toll on my mental and physical health.

Hiatus

I am having my IGCSE examinations which will be taking place this May and the result of these exams will help me get into the college I want to apply to.

It's almost December 25th guys!
I'm super duper excited for this year's Christmas celebrations.
I don't really know why but I just am. There has been a lot of preparations going on here in our community but Mother Nature's being mean and giving us either really hot or really rainy weather.

Winter Break

Although, I will be quitting on my staff.

HIATUS

I didn't really expect to do it.

There's been a lot of unexpected things going on too.
I can't elaborate on them too much so I'll stop here.

KAS is going on hiatus till December 11th.
That's when my IGCSE mocks will end and that's when I hopefully get my winter break.

I'm still battling with my mind whether to keep the site open, what with a lot of complications going on.
If there's any reason at all that you guys think we should still remain, then feel free to try to convince me because right now, I'm being rather pessimistic.

URGENT NEWS

Hello koi.ai.sarang

It is from a heavy heart that I have decided on the inevitable.

KAS has been a wonderful experience for me. I've met many wonderful and talented people and I know that a lot of people will be questioning me about this but please remain calm as I explain this happening in detail.

I am closing down koi.ai.sarang

This is not a permanent decision. I would just like to emphasize on that.

It's just that I have had a lot of bad experiences in KAS (although the good ones greatly outnumber the bad) This still has to be done.

I will most probably be Emailing all our staff and whomever even bothers to care to reply or read it then good for you, I am proud to have had you in our group.

koi.ai.sarang has been a request site for over a year and a half now and I just want to thank all our patrons for their support.

If I have caused you to panic them my mission was succesful. Now you're going to be glaring at me and cursing at your Computer screen but before you even decide to click on the small 'x' located on the top right hand corner of your window, please read through this first.

I am going to re-open KAS.

Okay! HAHA! scared you didn't I?

Well, one of the MAIN reasons why I want to close down, remodel and reopen KAS is because of the staff. I'm sorry to say this but it's true. A handful of my staff are inactive and I'm not very proud of that.

I've been very lenient over the past year because I like it that many writers and designers have made KAS their work-place of choice and have stuck with me through all of this.
But let me make one thing clear:

I DO NOT like it when my staff go MIA on me for months to come.

It damn well pisses me off.
The time it took me to hire you and to send you Emails and updates regularly to have (not all) a lot of you not reply really messes with my buttons.

It makes me regret opening KAS sometimes. But I will never fully regret having made this group. I've made lots of friends as well and a lot of people who's talents are buried and could do very well with a bit of polishing. For those I am very proud of you and I'm grateful for having you stick with me through everything.

Staff who are busy with college and school work are excused from this message. Unless you have failed to inform me and therefore you belong to the MIA group of people who really tick me off.

So, let me make myself clear,

koi.ai.sarang productions will be closed till the end of November (and maybe even December)
Until then, I will be working on all the people who have been a part of KAS and try again to contact them, even if I know half of them will barely reply.
I hope to hear from all those who still wish to be a part of KAS, so if you do please await my Email.

But do not be disheartened. Those who have pending requests, I assure you that they will be completed.

And those who want to request can still do so. I will make myself clear on that.

Hey guys!

It's me, your webmistress; Eun Mi~
I've been gone a while but don't fret, I've just been terribly caught up with school work. I've got some free time right now but the reason being because I've caught a cold and am sick at home.
*cries*

I can't eat anything cold and I've also lost my voice.
anyway, How do you guys like the new layout?
I wanted a change because I thought the navigation links on the previous one was a tad bit messy.
I hope this is better. It's a lot cleaner and I think it's really pretty. ^ ^

The icons, I've collected over the years are from people at LJ.

There are a lot of talented writers and designers there. So fully awesome~!
I've also contributed a bit from myself ;)

hmm, I am a Korean-Ukrainian. Its a weird mix, i know.
I speak both languages, but Korean is very difficult for me. T _ T epic fail.

And I dont accept or tualorate any form of discrimination.
I just thought id get that out there. ^ ^

I love reading and writing, but it seems i dont do much writing anymore...

Out of the band, i find myself most attracted to Heechul!

I like every k-pop group you can throw at me. ^ ^
In terms of j-pop world, i know very little.
Although i would love to learn more. = D

On another note.
Something really pissed me off today...

I just found out from a friend of mine that the Korean drama 'Stairway to Heaven' is being imitated by the Philippines and they're making 'their own' version.
oh blablabla.

Please don't hate me for speaking out my own opinions.
I WARN you, I can be very harsh.

So this really pisses me off because well...
I don't even know.
I think it's because I'm biased to Korea and Japan.
and I know all of you are probably going to be shooting some sort of idek junk at me like Japan copied Meteor Garden and Korea copied Hana Yori Dango..
but blablabla, this is MY opinion and I believe in the FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

Announcement: Short leave

Annyeong!

Hey guys! I hope you're all having a wonderful start to your school year.

I'm going to cut to the chase:

I will not be able to handle KAS as frequently as I did before.
I have already hired a co-webmiss and she will be helping out as soon as I Email her the things she is going to be taking care of.
I will be Emailing her within two weeks and that is when she will be fully active and I might just make her the permanent Webmiss.

I have my reasons for wanting to hand over the site to someone else and one of those reasons is because I have to concentrate on my studies. I am currently in my last years of high school and I have to make sure I get a good average in order for me to enter college. (and let me tell you, our curriculum here is the SHIT! T^T)

So I will notify all of you of further details in the future.

Anyway, I just got back from a friend's place today. I just needed a break to get away from the house. And it was exactly what the doctor ordered. I got to buy stationery for school opening this Monday and a new notebook! I LOVE notebooks! Hee.

I'm still writing a one-shot (it's for Yoojin ft. Onew btw. Just in case ;]) I don't know when it'll be done. And because I had to retype a lot (refer to previous posts) from the crashing of my laptop. It'll take some time.

I hope everyone can still wait.

Announcement: New Staff Member

The title is basically self explanatory but before I get to introducing our newest family member, there's something I have to blog about because this is epic!

Okay, so usually I write any story; one-shot or chaptered fics, at night because

(according to Jong Hyun) The creative side of your brain activates at that time.

So in this case, I ALWAYS write at night. A few paragraphs in the afternoon sure, but most of my writing is done after 10pm.
So basically last night was just like any other and I was really happy because I was on a roll! I finished two pages and 8 paragraphs and I was already to my 8th page! So hurrah for me!

But you know, I'm not really one to stay up as late as 1am. So just as the clock struck 12am I concluded my nightly writing session and told myself to hit the hay. Of course, I cannot do any of that without saving the one-shot first right? So I click on save and guess what the computer tells me?

"The system can no longer retrieve the said file. Please reconnect the drive in order to fully save"

And then I check and see because I KNOW my USB is connected and there is no way that it can magically disconnect. So I attempt to save it again but the same box pops up. It tells me that it can no longer recognize what file I'm editing and tells me to encode the whole manuscript into a diferent computer language. So I click on French because it's probably the only other language I know. (and Korean is not yet installed in my Laptop) So I choose that.

But then guess what? It tells me that it's FRIGGIN UNAVAILABLE! So it decides to shut down EVERYTHING and 'delete' my file. (yes, delete; the dreaded term in which a particular object is thrown off or completly erased from memory)

I was PANICKING! at first I though, NAW~ I just have to open my USB and it'll be there again! but when I did it was friggin gone! So imagine what I went through? I cursed up a storm and cried myself to half-sleep. (I was trying to forget it but then I couldn't)

My dad heard me from the other rooom and came over to check on me. I told him about losing 8 pages worth of writing over a span of three days and he didn't really know what to say. My parents have never seen me cry over ANY of my writings so I guess this was a first for them.
He told me that God has a reason why the computer deleted it, maybe because I could have done better than what I was writing and I wouldn't try again unless it deletes itself.

I was still in a state of remorse but I decided that maybe dad was right. God wouldn't let anything bad happen to me. so I closed my eyes and told myself to work on it the whole day tomorrow (which is today)

But then I hear my door open yet again and my mom is squatting in front of me with a smile on her face. It glows brightly and it makes me feel happy ^ ^ (I love my mom :D)
She tells me to try it out on the other computer because this one is more advanced than mine. I agreed and followed her to their room and plugged in my USB; all this while still sniffing from the aftermath of my sobbing.

And guess what?! HELLO! it was right tharr! YAAAY! in a completely different encoding but I found it! I recovered it! wheee! I copy pasted it on a new Document and saved it! Then I told myself I am NEVER writing on my laptop again!

So basically. I cried last night for the first time in months and because of a Document I thought I lost. My dad laughed at me this morning before they headed to work. Told me that

"You were crying last night when all you needed to do was plug your USB into our computer"

He was friggin laughing at my laptop! I know it can be wonky at times but hello? that's my baby! Don't laugh at my baby~ and then I kissed my mom and dad good bye and they left for work!

Now I'm writing this epically LOOOOOOOOOONG story just so you can all read how much I love writing. XD

anyway, that was the EPIC story of the day. Now all I have left to do is introduce our new member!!

Announcement: NEW LAYOUT!

HEY GUYS!

so yeah..
Like I said, I made a new layout based on who you all wanted to see on the site.
DBSK has won unanimously so they are featured in our new layout.

I know, it's nothing amazing and you can barely see their faces but this means something to me.
I just recently watched this video and it made me cry. Like burst into tears cry.

I was never a HUGE fan of DBSK but I do love them. Their hard work and talents combined makes them one of the best groups I will ever fall in love with.

The layout is simple and the base codes are from the previous layout (only edited) so I basically give credits to dorkistic designs for the codes. All I did was change a few color codes and make the header. (Which was DAMN HARD!)

So it's not the best layout I can make but I don't know, this just means a lot to me because of what DBSK is going through. I'll try and make a better one in a few weeks when I get a proper picture and I'm not so emotional (XD).

Thanks to all who voted! (If you hadn't we would have ended up with another SHINee based layout... =.= yes, I am VERY biased)

Announcement: I'm bored

Okay, so the title was self explanatory. Anyway, I was just really bummed out here at home. It's a Friday and I can't go out! What the heck is that?! (btw, Fridays and Saturdays are the weekends here where I live)

So I sat for like one and a half hour and completed a poster request. I think it was sent recently. Anyway, it's the first time I tried that kind of style with any poster and I was rather reluctant with posting it but then I just decided what the heck! I can just make it again if the requester doesn't like it.

Pararae: My exams were good! I'm glad I took a break from everything and just sat and fried my brain because it definitely paid off. I should do better next year though because there were still a few questions I missed and I wished I studied them because they were easy anyway =.=

Anyway, I was getting tired of seeing Dubu and Min Ho on the site.. not that I don't like them now (I LOVE THEM TO BITS I WANNA SMUUUUUUUUUSH) but yeah, I need a change but I can't seem to make up my mind on who should be up for another layout.

OMFG! I SO MISSED KAS!!! *cries* I had no idea how hard it would be to be parted away from you but now I'm back I shall kiss the screen till forever! XD

okay, I sound weird but anyway! HELLO! I just finished my last exam today!!! AAARGH! Chemistry was a brain burner! I think I no longer have any capacity left over for typing this down but since I am the ever so awesome web mistress (humble aren't I? XD) I shall find it somewhere in my already minuscule brain for a few words. (I apologize if it will be a bit incoherent. I'm too happy from completing my exam =.=)

AAAAANYWAY! I just want to tell those who cancel requests. It's okay, I really don't mind when you cancel requests.. I do feel heartbroken for a minute but then I realize that you all have different reasons behind it and I have to understand that as a writer msyelf.

I just do hope that you can make up your mind carefully before requesting. Because it is really difficult for me to take back requests that I have already sent in. So I'll be making another rule on requesting. you have at least 2 weeks to change your mind about canceling your request. Otherwise... I haven't thought about it yet but I'll think of something... =.= So till then, this rule is not active.

Oh, and I thank PARARAE SO MUCH! ILY dear~ the help was wonderful! I appreciate it! APPLAUD FOR HER!!! *CLAPS* But now I have to look for a co webmistress because I've already promised everyone that I would look through the applications. I'm a very indecisive person and I don't like hurting people's feelings so... yeah... I'm slow with this one..

I understand that my forms can be confusing at times... but I'm still working on it.

The last thing on my mind right now is that school is starting in a week and three days for me. I feel so un accomplished because all I've been concentrating on were the graphics and artworks for the past three months. I'm still working on a few one-shots and yes, I agree it's been very slow but please understand that I have a llife as well and so do our writers. Well, I'll be helping around the site until Eun Mi comes back from her exam and school...

Announcement: HIATUS

This is really short notice and I really want to apologize in advance for this.

I really wanted to have a co-webmistress before this happened but then things got out of hand and now I have to go on a hiatus from the internet and all things SHINee.

I'm having two exams in three weeks and I need to study and study fast.
I'll be back by the end of this month and (hopefully) have completed some more requests.

but then after that school will begin and things will become slow again and some events may take place which I do not want to happen.

So for now, just continue to send in your requests and if you wish to affiliate just leave us a message at the tagboard and I'll be back by the end of the month to check up on them.

I really do apologize for this. I've been doing this for a long time already (the constant hiatuses) and hopefully it wont happen next year. I plan on making it better and that somehow we'll be able to make things so uncomplicated.

My heart... it hurts.

If you're just as big a SHINee fan as I am then you'd probably already know that our shining boys have left for Japan. They have stopped all promotions in Korea and will begin in Japan. Just like DBSK and Super Junior I guess. I know that there will still be a lot of videos and all but they're not in Korea anymore and they're no longer going to have activities in Korea. No more Star King or Golden Bell, and I bet Tae Min's drama has already wrapped up as well.

Aigoo. I'm so sad you have NO idea. T^T
But hell I think something's wrong with me to be THIS upset. I was never this sad when they wrapped up promotions for A.MI.GO maybe because 2Pm and Super Junior was there as well... =.= but ksajflbcsaklnsxm I'm sad.

I was expecting a repackaged album as well but NOOOOO they had to go to Japan. T^T

Okay, okay enough with my lame ranting and drama (I have my blog for that)

Here goes another announcement.

I've received a lot of applications for joining in on KAS. There's at least 10 that I'm going through and I just want to apologize to those who applied that it'll take some time for me to go through them all. It's a really difficult job to do and that's where the role of co-webmistress comes in. I'm still undecided on who to choose because I have two more people who applied. =.=

But I'll be sure to find someone by the end of this month and before school starts next month.

Oh! And like I said on the previous post, I'm in need of a co-web handler. I have a few examinations coming up and I need of some serious help. Also, I think it'll be good if I left the site in someone else's hands for a while and complete a few requests.

So, I've already had a few applicants. Two or three I guess? It's kind of hard to pick because I need to find someone reliable and who won't bring down the site. XD

I suppose if you want to apply, you have to have lots of time on your hands, friendly, trustworthy (for confidential information considering the site), fast-typer and be able to multi-task (A LOT).

I hope those who applied are really good at those. XD

Hello again!

I've noticed that since our hiatus that a lot of request sites have gone up (or I just haven't noticed till now facepalm*) anyway, I'm thankful for those whose requests keep coming. I know we've been really slow but we're just coming out of hiatus and I haven't contacted ALL of our staff as of yet. (some are still out of reach atm)

I also will not be able to concentrate too much on the site now because of some personal issues. (which have been very common lately) But I will not let another one of these to ruin KAS' reputation.
